first of all allow me give a huge thanks Hazard and to m28ew for inspiring me to attempt installing Adventure ten.6.6i on my amd rig, so at present i have a fully working osx x.half dozen.7! honestly, i was certain that it wasnt gonna work cause the distro itself says intel only. well i can confirm that it can work on amd and i was also surprised how little work information technology took to get it running smoothly...took longer to hunt downwards the working kexts than to set information technology all up.

i installed this like 2 weeks ago just havent had the time to type out this post/thank you/guide. remember this install method worked for me on my system. chances are you dont have my exact system, im posting crusade i surf osx86 forums looking for posts like this to check out someone elses hardware config and seeing what worked for them. so i will walk you through the process i did, keep in heed it could have been done more than efficiently cause i didnt have the 10.6.7 updater til later on.

me comp specs:

ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe

AMD Athlon 64X2 4400+ Toledo

4GB Patriot DDR 400 (PC 3200)

1st SL_10.6.6i_by_Hazard.iso burned to disc.

kick install dvd using these commands:

-v -x -f cpus=1 busratio=20 arch=i386

i installed using these options beneath(think these are specs for my hardware, check your hardware beginning)

Chameleon_RC5

Kernel

NVEnabler (temp)

(no audio)

nForceLan

(no wifi)

SuperNForceATA (temp)

now cross your fingers and hope yous get a full install.

so at this point my lan works merely my comp aint close to router and then i install the kexts now to become online with wifi and grab the software updates. also, im working on downloading the Hazard ten.half dozen.7 combo update(dont have a hotfile premium)

so lets add the kernel and some kexts.

at this point, the computer didnt reboot correctly information technology shut down but got stuck and i powered it off. on the reboot information technology took a long fourth dimension to boot upward and hung on a blue screen for a while. this went away later on shutting downwards normally.

now i ran apple software update and updated everything only the 10.6.seven update

considering sometimes these philharmonic updaters dont ever install so smoothly and since i have a nice working 10.6.6 i cloned the difficult drive in instance the x.half-dozen.7 doesnt hold with my organization

at present lets fire up the Hackint0sh.SL-1067.combo.dmg updater

add together the new kernel and wifi fix.

IO80211Family.kext (custom)

after the x.vi.7 updater i had to only set my wifi so i added the new legacy kernel and update the IO80211Family.kext for my wifi adapter

hopefully all went well, and have a functioning snowfall leopard

i used lizard to install chameleon that enables the boot screen selection from the difficult bulldoze natively

i accept to admit im excited most having the latest snow leopard(10.half dozen.7) installed replacing my leopard(10.5.8) and information technology was fairly like shooting fish in a barrel to practice i cant believe this is this is an "intel only" release!(perchance just crusade the amd cpus show upwards as intel...?) oh well thanks over again Take chances & m28ew
